Personally I believe Yoga has a unique meaning to everyone. To me it is a practice to prepare the mind & body. To prepare it for life, and all its little, and sometimes big, ups & downs. Before Yoga found me I was a personal fitness trainer, it was great, but there was just something missing. Ever since I have started Yoga I sometimes feel like I have been given this path, not a well beaten path as there have been times I've certainly gotten a little lost, but it always ends up showing me the way back.
Throughout my yoga experience I have learned greatly from Mary Jo and Rockne as well as at workshops with Beryl Bender Birch, David Swenson, David Williams, Gert van Leeuwen and more.
Currently I’ve been learning from Gert van Leewan from Amsterdam and his process of gaining relaxation and movement through Critical Alignment Therapy. This is a phenomenal process of gaining access into the spine and releasing much of the stress and strain (physically & mentally) that we put ourselves through daily.
In my spare time I enjoy cycling (road & mountain), downhill & backcountry skiing, hanging out with my dogs (and of course my boyfriend Dave!), as well dabbling in climbing, ice climbing, skeleton (now retired), and more (really anything in the outdoors and even better if there is some speed involved!).
I feel truly fortunate to have yoga in my life.
