Our Green Studio
At yogadotcalm we are concerned about the environment we live in.
Here are a few steps we've taken to reduce our bio footprint on the earth.
Waste reduction:
We recycle all paper, bottles, and plastics that make their way into our studio.
We've reduced our out-going waste by removing the dixie cups for water (please feel free to fill your water bottle at our reverse osmosis water cooler).
Now available! Yogadotcalm eco-shopping bags!

Cleaning:
To clean the studio floor we use the Norwex cleaning system.
To wash the mats we use a bio-degradable detergent and hot water.
We use a bagless vacuum.
Retail:
We try to offer products that are earth friendly, such as Manduka mats. Featuring their new mat, currently in stock, eKO ™. This mat is made from 100% natural, non-Amazon forested tree rubber. Aside from durability and performance, what sets eKO ™ apart from other rubber mats is the care taken in the manufacturing process. Unlike any other rubber eco-mats available today, the foaming agents used to create the eKO mat are non-toxic. What this means is that no toxic chemicals have gone into the manufacturing process to make rubber “sponge” and therefore when the eKO ™ mat is disposed of and bio-degrades, it will leave behind no toxic residue.
Local Canadian products such as Tonic from Vancouver.
An organic cotton line called Blue Canoe (also found at Community Foods!)
Over time we will be working to establish more awareness and put into practice greener ways of life. For the future of our planet.
We've also linked a few sites that are great resources for learning how to move toward a greener and healthier lifestyle.
