Karma

Thank you to everyone in our yogadotcalm community! Through the support of students and teachers we are able to help others, not only in our community but throughout Canada and further into many war-torn countries with the aid of healthcare and education. We offer two classes to build our karma fund, Saturdays at 5pm and Sundays at 4:30pm (all monies donated will go straight into the karma fund). These are Multi level classes taught by many of the teachers and teacher training graduates. This level of class is taught to the level of the newest student in the room. Previous level 1 experience is suggested.

Congratulations to all of the teachers and students in May, we were able to donate over $300 for Right to Play!

Oxfam Canada works with people to secure their basic human rights, combining support to long-term development and humanitarian responses with research, advocacy and campaigning against the root causes of poverty and injustice.

 

Oxfam Canada supports long-term development, advocacy and emergency programs in 28 countries around the world. Our core programs are located in the Americas, the Horn of Africa, Southern Africa, South Asia as well as our work here at home in Canada.

 

In recent years, Oxfam Canada has increased its capacity to respond to humanitarian crises, both natural disasters and conflict. In the case of rapid-onset natural disasters such as earthquakes or tsunami, Oxfam Canada works to meet basic needs, protect lives and promote health, and to restore livelihoods, supporting recovery and reconstruction.
